Find him on the dancefloor with his (self-proclaimed) great dance moves or in the booth, mixing records at listening bars and clubs all around Europe.
DJ Tracksuit’s sound travels through the grooves and rhythms of the African diaspora, taking you to dizzying heights of Spiritual Jazz, heavy lows of Dub, Reggae and Deep House, then twists you into a joyous state with Zouk and Disco.
Highlights for the tracksuit clad man are warming up for his hero Joe Claussell, playing all night long at Doka with Shady Lady, Brilliant Corners in London and Klub Dramatik Festival in Antwerp. Tracksuit’s Edits have been circulating amongst some of his favourite selectors like Antal, Barbara Boeing, Hunee & Palms Trax.
Throwing himself into every orifice of the music scene he co-manages De Disco Gemeenschap (The Dutch Disco Community group on Facebook), writes for the music blog Steppin’ Into Tomorrow and runs his own party ‘Traintracks’.DDG share deep disco digs, events around town and mixes that keep the Dutch disco vibe alive. Steppin’ Into Tomorrow aims to “Uncover today’s music, inspired by the past and aimed at the future” with articles on listening bars, critics on music documentaries and reviews on unreleased beats from local soil and beyond.
Traintracks drives to bring people together, the focus being on less ego and more community. Headline culture and fast touring are a thing of the past, Tracksuit’s goal is to make people travel with less emissions and dance with more emotions.Come one and come all to see this man sweat up a storm in his favourite attire.
